That it is sore enough to keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Cardinals remains to be seen. Interim coach Steve Spagnuolo said the Giants will treat Collins’ injury much the same way they did last week, allowing the third-year player to push himself in practices and attempt to play in the game.

Not a great time to be a part of the Giants secondary, sure, but hey, I'm pretty positive these guys'll make up and get it together when it really matters next year. After all, quibbling over who gave who pep talks isn't that heavy.

At this point, how can you even say this relationship can be repaired, outside of Apple leaving town (they aren't ditching Collins, their only Pro Bowler). He needs to make a major leap in Year 3, but if the whole locker room feels the way Collins outwardly (publicly!) does, has he even earned a shot?
